Goodall Lumber (est. 1902) and Troy Lumber (est. 1919) have been locally owned and operated by the Goodall Family since their founding, passing down the knowledge of the lumber industry from generation to generation. In the fall of 2023, the Goodall family’s long standing lumberyard, a cherished community fixture for generations, was sold to local entrepreneur Roy Kegley. The transition marked the end of an era for the Goodall’s, who had dedicated decades to building relationships with local builders and homeowners. Kegley, known for his commitment to quality and service, aims to honor the legacy of the Goodall family while bringing new innovations and offerings to the lumberyard. The sale was met with a mix of nostalgia and optimism, as the community looked forward to the next chapter in the lumberyard’s story. Today, they operate from one location in New Carlisle, OH, serving both commercial and residential lumber projects with an approach that treats each opportunity as unique from the last.
